Is GDI a Pyramid Scheme?
GDI has created a network marketing or multilevel marketing opportunity that tends to raise the common question “Is GDI a pyramid scheme?” The reality to this question is that just about every company on earth falls under the shape of a pyramid. The hierarchy below shows this exact concept where the foundation consists of representatives, common laborers or general staff. Above them you have the overseers consisting of supervisors, managers and mid-level executives and at the top, which only the dedicated get to experience, you’ll see your senior chairmen including president and CEO. Notice the number of positions get smaller and smaller as you head to the top.

Almost every company in the world falls under this model which means there will never be more supervisors to representatives or more CEO’s to Directors, it’s just the only sensible way. GDI is true to this model which means you’ll never see more upline then downline members. How could that ever be possible? However, GDI gives you tons more leverage than the average corporation and here’s how.
One way that GDI is different from the traditional business model is that you’re able to determine where you belong in the pyramid. If you believe you belong where the top earner is then simply put yourself there. No corporation in the world would give you that kind of ability especially in the timeframe that GDI is able to make this happen for you. Secondly, GDI pros are eager to get you to their level as this is how they become successful. The CEO at your typical office would never teach you how to take his/her position.
The shape of a pyramid is perfectly legitimate as a business model. The only way a pyramid would not be legal is if members within the organization transferred money/paid out commissions that were not related to the sale of products or exchange of services. Examples of illegal pyramids are cash lending programs, chain letters & cash gifting because there is no service or good in exchange for the money.
Examples of legal pyramids are GDI, your job and other reputable companies who mirror this hierarchy. Your job, on the other hand, tells you when you’re allowed to move up to the next level, will never pay you what you’re actually worth and doesn’t provide residual income. It’s simple with a regular job – You work and you get paid, you don’t work and you don’t get paid. With GDI you work once and you get paid over and over for the same job that you did once. This is called residual income which is a million times better than linear income that only pays you when you work like an hourly or salary rate.
